      Education and Background

Greetings! My name is Dustin Davis, and I am one of the English teachers at Edwardsville High School.

I was born in Naperville, Illinois but moved to Edwardsville in 1993 and attended Edwardsville schools from kindergarten through high school. I graduated from Edwardsville High School in 2006 before attending Southeast Missouri State University. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southeast in 2011 with my bachelors in Secondary Education - English.

My first teaching job was at a very small high school in Zalma, Missouri. I was the English teacher for grades 7-12 while also serving as head cross country coach, head speech and debate coach, head track coach, and assistant basketball coach. My second teaching job was through Boonville High School in Boonville, Missouri. I taught freshman English while also serving as head cross country coach and assistant track coach.

I was fortunate enough to return to Edwardsville High School in the fall of 2013. I have taught a variety of courses including Freshman Literature and Composition, Sophomore World Literature, Junior American Literature, Mystery and Science Fiction, Contemporary Literature, and also serve as an assistant cross country coach and assistant girls track coach.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife (Brittni), my two kids (Evelyn and Calvin), my 2 dogs (Lexi and Macy) and 2 cats (Athena and Kate Kate). I also love to fish, run, and simply be outside.

I am a proud member of the Edwardsville High School staff and look forward to the upcoming school year. GO TIGERS!
