Course Description
World Literature is a full year course required for tenth grade students. First semester takes a thematic approach that explores universal human questions, differing cultural values and conflicts, and both historic and modern abuses of power. Second semester contains an analytical research paper and presentation. Comedy and satire as well as the heroic quest are also explored second semester. Writing and research experiences are linked to the literature read, non-fiction selections, and focus on the development of composition skills
